About the Annapurna Base Camp Trek

This 70 to 115-kilometer trail leads directly to the foot of Annapurna I. It sits inside the Annapurna Conservation Area, Nepal's largest protected region. You walk through diverse climates, starting in warm subtropical valleys and ending in freezing alpine conditions.

The route requires careful acclimatization. The ultimate destination is the high glacial basin known as Glacial Basin. You sleep in local teahouses along the way, eating traditional meals like Dal Bhat.

Rules from 2023 call for foreign trekkers to use a licensed guide; check current enforcement. You must also carry an ACAP permit at all times. Read our guide on Best time to visit to choose your dates carefully.

The ABC trek is an amazing, beautiful experience that leaves you with many lasting memories. Communication with the company was excellent. Our guide, Bikash, was very professional and friendly—he was another reason why this trek was so fantastic. The same goes for his colleagues. I have absolutely no complaints.

My second time with Ace the Himalayas, and it didn't disappoint. Impeccable organising, to the last details, the whole team is very professional. My guide, Laxmi Shrestha was simply the best, very attentive, knowledgeable, and so much fun. Couldn't ask for anything more. I am already planning my next adventures with them, and cannot recommend enough.

Ram and Gopi along with their porter team made our ABC trekking experience a plus! I hope I will have more trips in the future guided by them.

This experience was absolutely worth every penny! The views from the top are breathtaking and truly a highlight of the trip. What made it even better was our guide, Raj. He was incredibly kind, attentive, and stayed by our side the entire time to ensure we were comfortable and informed. If you get the chance to go, ask for Raj, he’s simply the best!. Had an amazing time along with him

It was a fantastic tour. My guide was Bikash. He's a great guy, and we chatted a lot during the trek. He explained everything and showed me around; it was never boring with him. I would definitely book another tour with him.
